Coming Soon to Cypress

Latest confirmed update (October 12, 2026): Huey Magoo's and Culver's both have state filings with construction dates in fall 2026. Wild Eggs filed for a renovation starting Oct. 15. Galiana's Casa Del Tequila opened Sept. 28, so it has moved off this list.

Here's what's coming to Cypress. The soonest openings are Huey Magoo's on Barker Cypress (its filing lists construction ending in November), Kick Hot Chick'n on Fry Road, and a second La La Land at Dunham Pointe. Next year brings Wild Eggs, Culver's, Flower Child, and the Whole Foods–anchored Dunham Pointe retail village. Everything below is either announced by the business or developer or filed with the state, and we label which.

This is not a list of places you can go tonight; those live on our 2026 openings list. A state filing is a construction schedule, and construction schedules slide. We'd rather tell you exactly what a date is based on than promise a grand opening that moves three times.

Filed. The Florida chicken-tender chain has a $350,000 interior build-out registered at 11430 Barker Cypress Rd., Ste. 200, the same center as Tim Hortons and Andy's. The filing lists construction from Sept. 1 to Nov. 1, 2026 (TDLR TABS2026029142). Community Impact lists it as coming soon, and no opening date has been announced.

Confirmed; opening date unconfirmed. Nashville-style hot chicken is taking over the old Blaze Pizza space at Cypress Spring Crossing off Fry Road. An October opening was planned, per Community Impact. As of this update, we haven't seen confirmation that it's open.

Confirmed. Late-night specialty ice cream at 26321 Northwest Fwy. It set its opening for Oct. 9, with 50% off over grand-opening weekend, per Community Impact. Hours are 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. Friday and Saturday, and 6 p.m. to midnight Sunday. That makes it one of the few things open on 290 after everyone else has gone home. We'll move it to the open list once we confirm it opened on schedule.

Confirmed. A Latino-owned meat market at 9430 Fry Rd. Plans include a 20-foot meat counter, a walk-in beer cooler, and a wine rack. It's slated for fall 2026, per Community Impact. There's no firm date yet, so their Instagram is the place to watch.

Filed. A second Cypress La La Land is coming to 14615 Mason Rd., Ste. B2-E, inside Dunham Pointe. The first one is at the Boardwalk at Towne Lake. State filings show a $220,000 build-out with construction from Sept. 7 to Dec. 20, 2026, per My Neighborhood News. Community Impact lists the opening as TBD. Estimate: late 2026 or early 2027.

Confirmed; opening date unconfirmed. An assisted-stretching studio at 24120 Northwest Fwy., Unit 500. Its location page still says "coming soon" but already lists hours. This is separate from the Stretch Zone that's been open on Fry Road since 2024.

Confirmed. A 1,565-square-foot Verizon store is coming to Village Green at Bridgeland Central, with a winter 2026–27 opening, per Community Impact.

Filed. The Louisville breakfast chain picked Cypress for its first Texas restaurant, per Community Impact. It's taking the former Sapporo space at 9814 Fry Rd., Ste. 240, in Cypress Creek Plaza. State filings show a $730,000 renovation of 4,107 square feet, with construction from Oct. 15, 2026, to Jan. 15, 2027, per My Neighborhood News. The chain originally said "by the end of the year." Estimate: based on the filed dates, early 2027 looks more realistic.

Filed. This would be the first Culver's in Cypress proper: a 4,393-square-foot ground-up build with a drive-thru at 9265 Fry Rd., near Bridgeland. The filing lists a $1.85 million cost and construction from Sept. 21, 2026, to June 25, 2027 (TDLR TABS2026026040). We haven't confirmed that work has started on site. Estimate: summer 2027 at the earliest. The closest ones for now are in Katy and Fulshear.

Filed. The healthy fast-casual chain filed for a $1.3 million, 4,575-square-foot build-out at 14611 Mason Rd., Ste. 85A, in Dunham Pointe. Construction is listed from May to November 2027, per WhatNow, citing the state filing. The shell building itself is filed separately (TDLR TABS2026015170). Flower Child isn't on the developer's announced tenant list, so we list it as a filing. Estimate: late 2027.

Confirmed; no dates. Both are headed to 7070 Elyson Exchange Way. Community Impact reported Feng Cha (boba) in July with no opening date, and Oh My Gyros for fall 2026. We haven't seen an opening for either yet.

Filed. Dumont filed in mid-September for a new location at 21920 West Rd., per Community Impact. The opening is TBD.

Confirmed. Trademark Property Co. and MetLife Investment Management are building a 25-acre, 202,000-square-foot retail district at Hwy. 290 and Mason Road, financed by PNC Bank. Whole Foods Market anchors it, with 13 more signed tenants:

The groundbreaking was scheduled for Oct. 1, 2026. As of this update, we haven't seen confirmation that it happened on schedule. Trademark's estimate is that the first tenants open in late 2027. Confirmed. The Texans plan to move their headquarters and training facility to the Toro District in Bridgeland, a Howard Hughes project. Plans include about 175,000 square feet of headquarters space and a roughly 150,000-square-foot indoor fieldhouse, with a target move-in of summer 2029, per Bisnow and KPRC. Under construction. An $8 million, 13,871-square-foot early learning center at 21414 N. Bridgeland Lake Pkwy., across from Pope Elementary. It broke ground Aug. 19, 2026. The filing lists construction finishing April 1, 2027 (TDLR TABS2026019077), and Community Impact reports a summer 2027 opening.

Filed. Cypress-Fairbanks ISD is renovating 16,212 square feet of its Annex Building at 22602 Northwest Fwy. to house the Virtual Pathways program, turning a former culinary lab into open offices. The filing lists $1.5 million and construction from Sept. 1 to Nov. 27, 2026 (TDLR TABS2026020139). Confirmed. A private indoor golf simulator with 24/7 member access, leasing about 3,044 square feet at Cypress Village Station, 25282 Northwest Fwy. (U.S. 290 at Skinner), per My Neighborhood News. You book online and get a door code. The opening date is TBD.

Confirmed. CyLife is growing its building from 35,549 to 45,187 square feet in a project the Christian Post puts at $22 million, including a 2,000-seat sanctuary. Phase one (site work and about 350 parking spaces) is done. Phase two was set to start in August, with completion in fall 2027 (Christian Post, May 2026). An earlier state filing we reported showed different cost and timing figures. We'll update when we can match the two.

Filed. This is an industrial and flex project at 12638 Huffmeister Rd., marketed at 250,000+ square feet. The current state filing covers $12 million and 81,000 square feet of metal buildings, with dates running through August 2028 (TDLR TABS2026029159). The first space is marketed as available Jan. 1, 2027, per My Neighborhood News. Nobody's driving out on a Saturday for a flex building, but filings like this tell you which corridor fills in next.

Filed. Five single-story shell buildings totaling 36,167 square feet at 17214 Huffmeister Rd. The filing lists $3.5 million and completion Dec. 1, 2026 (TDLR TABS2026021166). Yes, they're garages.

We listed these earlier this year. We couldn't find a current primary source for either one during this update, so treat them as unconfirmed until we can.

Most of what you'll read here starts as a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. Texas requires accessibility registration for commercial construction over $50,000, and each registration lists the owner, the address, the estimated cost, and the planned start and finish dates. Those dates are the owner's estimates, not opening dates. A restaurant usually opens weeks to months after its construction-finish date, and plenty of filings slide.
