Where exactly is it?
The store sits on Towne Lake Parkway, right across from the Boardwalk at Towne Lake, according to the community's announcement. The state construction filing lists the facility as "Boardwalk at Towne Lake," with Caldwell Companies (CC TL Retail LP) as owner.
If you're making an evening of it, the Boardwalk is where Walk-On's opened this year in the old Sam's Boat spot.
What the filings showed
Before Trader Joe's said anything publicly, the project showed up with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. Here's what that filing says, labeled as a filing, not a final figure:
Project: "Trader Joes #432 - Cypress, TX," TDLR project TABS2025016980 (filing)
Estimated cost: $900,000
Scheduled work: July 1, 2025 to December 1, 2025. The store opened about three weeks after that end date.
Size: the filing lists 15,021 square feet. Towne Lake's opening announcement puts the store at 9,984 square feet. We're showing both because the two sources don't match; the filing may include space beyond the sales floor.
What Trader Joe's says about unsold food
Trader Joe's told Community Impact the Cypress store plans to donate 100% of products that go unsold but are still fit to eat to local nonprofits. If you run a Cypress food pantry and want to ask about it, the store's phone line is the place to start.
