Cypress is getting a major new lakeside dining destination. As you all know, we have been highly anticipating this opening since the news first broke and Sam’s Boat closed its doors.
Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux is celebrating the grand opening of its newest restaurant at 9955 Barker Cypress Road on Monday, June 8, and this location comes with something extra special: it will be the brand’s first-ever dockside service location. That means guests can arrive by land or water and enjoy Walk-On’s signature Louisiana-inspired food, sports bar energy, and family-friendly atmosphere right here at The Boardwalk at Towne Lake.
The grand opening celebration will include a full community moment, complete with remarks, a ribbon cutting, a breakthrough banner celebration featuring local student-athletes, and charitable contributions benefiting Cy-Hope. Walk-On’s founder and CEO Brandon Landry, along with local franchisees Brett Gunn and Mickey McKee, are expected to be part of the celebration.
The event kicks off with a (preferred) arrival time of 9:45 a.m., followed by the grand opening ceremony at 10:15 a.m., ribbon cutting at 10:45 a.m., and the restaurant officially opening to the public at 11:00 a.m.
To make opening day even more exciting, the first 100 guests to dine will have the chance to win FREE Walk-On’s for a year. The new spot is also expected to create approximately 135 jobs in the Cypress community. (We love to see it!)
For Cypress residents (and specifically Towne Lake residents), this will serve as a new dining spot for game days, family dinners, post-practice meals, boat-up bites, and weekends on the Boardwalk. With dockside service making its debut right here in Towne Lake, Cypress gets to be part of a first for the Walk-On’s brand.
