Random thought: 🧐 Am I the only one who still watches 80s and 90s reruns with the same enjoyment as when they first dropped? (This week’s Lineup— The King of Queens).

Cypress 🌲 Public Service Announcement

I was shocked to find this…I had no clue your pets could be poisoned by these. Keep in mind, I’ve seen dogs survive snake bites with nothing but Benadryl (I’m from the sticks.) 👀😳
The Oaks Vet Clinic (My Vet) posted this yesterday and thought I’d share. Here’s 7 Hidden Pet Poisons I didn’t know about.
Gum and Mints can contain Xylitol; even small amounts of xylitol can cause hypoglycemia (low blood sugar), seizures, liver failure, or even death.
Acetaminophen (Tylenol) can cause severe liver damage in pets, even at low doses. It can also damage red blood cells and lead to other health problems.
Sago Palm is extremely toxic to cats and dogs; all parts of the plant are toxic, but the seeds are the most toxic and can result in death.
Ibuprofen is highly toxic and dangerous for pets and should never be administered to them. Even small doses can [Read The Rest Here.]
What’s New In Cypress 🌲
This is your sign to get your roof inspected.
Cypress, it’s (almost) September — which means we’re heading into one of the most common seasons for roof damage. With fall storms, high winds, and hurricane remnants on the way, now is the time to get ahead of potential issues.
You should have your roof professionally inspected at least once a year, but also after any major storm or extreme weather event. For older roofs or homes surrounded by large trees, twice-yearly inspections — in spring and fall — are even better at catching issues before they become costly repairs. If your roof is over 15 years old, you should be prepared for signs of wear and tear, possible leaks, and even the need to start budgeting for a replacement.
Think your roof has damage after the recent storms? Let my friend Sean know. [Get a Free Inspection.]

Reads from Friday:
‘77433’ is now the Most Moved into U.S. Zip Code of 2025 🤯
I mean, I knew Cypress was booming, but wow. According to MovingPlace.com, the ‘77433’ zip code had a move-in count of 3,638. Behind it was New Braunfels (surprising but not really, they are on the rise). Keep in mind, this is only from the start of the year. Cypress is described as a ‘magnet for families and young professionals who want more space and a quieter lifestyle.
What this means for you: This could drive up property values, stimulate the economy with new businesses (which we’ve clearly seen recently). On the other hand, it may also put pressure on roads, schools, and a tighter housing market.
Why I’m not worried: As I covered recently [Read It Here: “The Cypress Commute Rundown,”] the roadway infrastructure takes time to build — yes, however our officials have seen the light which is why you see talks of SH-99 expansion, multiple road tie-ins throughout the 77433 zip code, more schools opening, and more businesses to service the incoming population.
Speaking of the 77433 Area…
Let’s talk about what’s coming for Bridgeland. Seeing as how 77433 is the main Bridgeland area code (or mostly— feel free to correct me.) I did some research, and whoa 🤩— there are truly some big things in the works.
From Bridgeland Central, some unique walkable living options and Bridgeland Green (the massive timber project). Bridgeland is becoming somewhat the urban core of Cypress. Like a city within a city. I cover it all here → [Read More Here.]
