Reintroducing— The Cypress Digest Business Directory 🥳
If you’ve been a longtime subscriber, you know I created a simple (albeit hideous) spreadsheet early on that had over 100 providers in the cypress area. Some I had used, others I hadn’t. The problem was, it was badly outdated and hard to skim, but I got great feedback around the resource and wanted to rebuild it. Two weeks ago I took down the link to the old directory sheet and started my revamp process for a fully built out website for the directory to live on.
This is still in the early stages, but I have 4 pages built out for Roofing, HVAC, Plumbing and Veterinarians in the area. Take a look, I think we can all agree this is a HUGE upgrade! 🤩
What’s New In Cypress 🌲
New Businesses Coming to Cypress
Therapy for Life. Provides ABA therapy, speech therapy, and occupational therapy to children. They will begin construction in January ‘26 and should be open for business in February 2026. [See Their Services.]
Cypress Vision Optometry will be going in the Fry and Tuckerton retail center. Construction starts in October and will open in January 2026.

The Sam’s Boat location hasn’t even had time for the dust to settle and someone came in to take their spot…
I can’t blame them. In town lake, with that much traffic on the boardwalk, the old Sam’s Boat location was a PRIME spot for the right business. But is THIS ☝️ the right business?😅 My comments section went a bit “unhinged” when I announced that Walk On’s Sports Bistreaux was taking over. [See the Comments Here].
And with a $1.5M renovation starting in November, Cypress will have to wait until March 2026 to give it a try (yeah followers also expressed some frustration over that as well. Want to learn more about the new restaurant? [Read more here.]
I thought they were joking about 60º temps… We may see it next week 👀
No joke, we could see temps dip from the 90s into the 60s for our first full week of September. Which is wild for this time of year. I kept seeing these little ‘6-7’ weather jokes (I still don’t get the joke, someone please reply and explain.) But after my third time I went to investigate and according to Mr. Google, all of the local weather outlets confirm this cold front. They expect this to come in late next week due to some cold front in the plains of Canada. [Read The Prediction Report Here.]
