We started Cypress Digest at our kitchen table in February 2025, and our newsletter has grown to reach over 5,000 homes because you forwarded it down your street, wrote back with tips, and told us the minute we got something wrong.

Which means you've been doing this with us for a while now. Since about issue four, honestly.

The Canopy is just the part where it’s official. We named it that because Cypress is named, in part, after it’s trees and because of what a stand of them actually does.

One tree doesn’t make shade. But get enough of them growing close enough together, the branches finally touch, and everything underneath gets to live in what they built.

Nobody’s carrying this by themselves. A lot of people are each carrying a little.
