The 2025 CFISD Middle School Football Championships concluded Oct. 29, and several teams earned district titles in a thrilling end to the season.

Bridgeland High School’s Linley Adams received the 2025–26 Celebrate Texas Public Schools Scholarship worth $2,500.

🏹 Cook Middle School Student Makes U.S. Archery Team
Eighth grader Jia Sanja from Cook Middle School earned a spot on the 2026 U.S. Archery Team in the Female Recurve U15 division.
She also won Intermediate Female Recurve Champion at the 2026 Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo.
Sanja says her journey began “with a plastic bow on a hay bale,” proving passion and focus can take students far.

Nine CFISD middle school theater productions earned top placements during the UIL One-Act Play Contest held Oct. 20, 24, and 30.

Dr. Plas Williams Jr., current principal at Truitt Middle School, has been named the new principal of Cypress Springs High School, succeeding Dr. Cheryl Henry after her December retirement.
