Feb. 5, 2026—The Cypress Ranch High School boys’ and girls’ swim teams claimed the District 18-6A titles at the district meets, held Jan. 30-31 at the CFISD Natatorium.  

Feb. 5, 2026—Eight years after Cypress-Fairbanks ISD high school athletic teams were split into two separate districts for the first time in history, CFISD’s two leagues saw changes as a result of the University Interscholastic League’s biennial Reclassification and Realignment on Feb. 2.  

Feb. 4, 2026—Representatives from TDECU Champion Forest visited the staff at Yeager Elementary School on Jan. 21 to officially announce their Adopt-a-School partnership with the campus.

Feb. 4, 2026—Keith Elementary School fifth grade student Ewan Song Ye Lin won first place by correctly spelling the word hellebore in the 11th round of the annual CFISD Elementary Spelling Bee, held Jan. 27 at the Berry Center.  

Feb. 4, 2026Kyla Mote, Black Elementary School principal, and Dr. Abe Lozano, Cypress Ridge High School principal, were selected as the CFISD Elementary and Secondary 2025-26 Principal of the Year, respectively, and will represent CFISD at the Region 4 Principal of the Year awards ceremony on April 7 at Hotel ZaZa.

Feb. 2, 2026—Rennell Elementary School fourth grade student Lana Hernandez is applauded by her teachers for always giving 100% effort in everything she does.  

Jan. 30, 2026—The 12th Superintendent’s Fun Run is scheduled for March 28 from 8-11 a.m. at the Berry Center (8877 Barker Cypress Road) and Towne Lake community. Filled with exciting live entertainment, two course layouts for running or walking, kids’ activities and other family-friendly attractions, the fun run is the largest outdoor fundraising event in the district. Funds raised will directly benefit student scholarships through the Cy-Fair Educational Foundation.
