Five CFISD girls’ basketball teams advance to region quarterfinal
Feb. 23, 2026—The Cypress Springs, Cypress Lakes, Langham Creek, Cypress Creek and Jersey Village high school girls’ basketball teams advanced past the area round of the UIL Class 6A playoffs and move on to the region quarterfinals, while Cypress Falls High School concluded its season.
Feb. 23, 2026—The District 16-6A and District 17-6A boys’ basketball seasons ended on Feb. 18, with seven CFISD teams qualifying for the UIL playoffs.
Feb. 20, 2026—Twenty CFISD athletes qualified for the UIL Swimming and Diving Championships following the Region V-6A Championships, held Feb. 6-7 at the CFISD Natatorium. CFISD athletes claimed three regional titles overall.
Feb. 19, 2026—The Cypress Creek, Cypress Falls, Cypress Lakes, Cypress Springs, Jersey Village and Langham Creek high school girls’ basketball teams advanced past the bi-district round of the UIL Class 6A playoffs and move on to the area round, while Cypress Woods High School concluded its season.
Feb. 13, 2026—More than 70 CFISD athletes signed letters of intent to play collegiate athletics for colleges and universities on Spring Signing Day, Feb. 4.
