Harris County Commissioners Court took up the fiscal year 2027 budget and tax rates on Monday, September 8. The proposal on the table would raise the county's combined property tax rate from $0.6241 to about $0.68 per $100 of valuation: the largest county rate increase most Cypress homeowners have seen.
The final vote is scheduled for September 17. The new fiscal year starts October 1.
