High-Energy Sports & Fitness Adventures

The Bombers Summer Skills Camps Series offers tailored volleyball coaching for beginner, intermediate, and advanced athletes to develop technical proficiency and game IQ. The curriculum focuses on essential mechanics like hitting, serving, and defensive strategy through a mix of repetitive drills, game scenarios, and position-specific training. Reading Programs
Harris County Reading Program: Yes, I know it’s not a ‘camp’ per se, but still worth a look! Check out this fun Summer reading Program through the Harris County Public Library Network.
BOOK IT!® FOR PARENTS: During the summer months of June, July, and August, any child who meets their parent-set reading goals can earn a free Pizza Hut® single-topping Personal Pan Pizza®* from participating locations. Use the BOOK IT!® Mobile App to set goals, track progress, and redeem rewards.
Barnes & Noble Summer Reading Journal: Kids in grades 1–6 can log eight books in a reading journal. Once completed, they can bring it to a store between July and August to choose a free book from a selected list.
Books-A-Million! Summer Reading Adventure: Participants choose four books from the Summer Reading Adventure section, log them, and return the log to a store to receive a free Dog Man baseball cap.
Scholastic Summer Reading Challenge: A digital-first program through "Scholastic Home Base" where kids log reading minutes to earn digital rewards and complete weekly challenges.
Mensa for Kids’ Excellence in Reading: Kids read from a leveled list and submit a log to receive a commemorative T-shirt and certificate. This program is not restricted to the summer months.
H-E-Buddy Summer Reading Club: For Texas children ages 3–12. After reading 10 books (including one from the "Read 3" list), kids mail in their log to receive a special prize pack.
Half Price Books Summer Reading Camp: During June and July, "campers" can visit local stores to earn $5 "Bookworm Bucks" to use toward purchases.
