Texas House Bill Proposes Major Testing Changes
Big news for Cypress families: Texas lawmakers are advancing House Bill 4, which would eliminate the STAAR test (yay) and replace it with three shorter exams (wait…what). This bill also aims to revamp the public school accountability system, potentially reshaping how student performance is assessed across the state—including Cy-Fair ISD.
