In The News

Anyone else miss old school arcades? Well one is coming to Cypress.
According to the Texas Dept. of Licensing, they broke ground on April 1st with an estimated completion of June 15th. This arcade will feature over 2,300 sqft of claw machines and will be housed near Cinemark and JCPenny.
Looking to add a furry family member? You can adopt one for $5!
Yeah, well there is no secret that the shelters are overflowing but the BARC Animal shelter is doing something about it. Traditionally pet adoption can range from $75 up to hundreds depending on the breed, location and age. So the idea of mitigating that cost down to $5 is a great deal. You can find out more here!
Need a recommendation for, well, everything?
Cypress is huge and still growing but knowing who to use for plumbing, roofing, or even pizza— there’s alot to sift through. Well I lived in Amira for some time and they had the best idea: A neighborhood recommendation page. And I thought it was great to have people (real people) give you a short list of all their favorite businesses and service providers.
There is (currently) 257 businesses and providers on this list and I’m adding to it! You can access the list below for free and feel free to share it (not like it’s a secret or anything.)
If you’d like to see a business added, hit ‘reply’ from this email and let me know!
Reminder: Nominations for ‘Best of The Best’ Awards are Open through April 7th
Speaking of great businesses, The Chron hosts an ‘Best of the Best’ businesses in the Houston area awards every spring. Right now you can click here and nominate your favorite (Cypress) business so they are eligible for voting (once it opens). If you nominate over 40 businesses, you are entered to win $500 .
