Toro District stands to be a huge development in the Cypress community and bring in tons of new activity. But residents want to know, who approved this? What vote took place? How did such a big project get a frictionless 'yes' without the community's direct approval? Here's the rundown.
This Week In CFISD: A Big Week for CFISD Athletics
It was a big week for CFISD athletics! Five girlsβ basketball teams (Cypress Springs, Cypress Lakes, Langham Creek, Cypress Creek, and Jersey Village) advanced to the UIL Class 6A regional quarterfinals, while Cy Springs and Cy Falls claimed boysβ district titles, with seven teams heading to the playoffs.
In the pool, 20 swimmers and divers qualified for the UIL State Championships, earning three regional titles along the way. Plus, more than 70 student-athletes signed letters of intent on Spring Signing Day, continuing their academic and athletic journeys at the collegiate level. [Read The Updates Here.]
UPDATE: Armed Costco Robbery Led to an Arrest
Shortly after we announced the incident, police put out a warrant for one of the suspects. βTyler Mason was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with the aggravated robbery warrant.
