Mishap at Canyon Lake
Have you ever seen a vehicle accident and wondered, “How in the world…?” Well, that was me and about a hundred other people on Monday. A vehicle somehow found itself parked inside the Canyon Lake Strip mall over by Barker Cypress and Tuckerton. If you’re familiar with Towne Lake Dentistry and Taco de Oro, that’s where they hit. Thankfully, CyFair Fire Department reported no injuries or fatalities (a miracle, really). See the scene here.

The 30-year fixed-rate mortgage averaged 6.10% as of January 29, 2026, up slightly from last week's 6.10%. A year ago at this time, the 30-year FRM averaged 6.95%.
The 15-year fixed-rate mortgage averaged 5.5%, up from last week when it averaged 5.49%. A year ago at this time, the 15-year FRM averaged 6.12%.
